MEET THE TEAPUP.COM TEAM!!

Here at Teapup we are blessed to have many people, including children and high school students, who come on a regular basis and are trained in such duties as grooming, socializing dogs and puppies, cleaning, record-keeping, etc. These dedicated guys and girls are what help keep our superior standards of puppy-raising at an ever-increasing high.

Below you will see photos and short blurbs about each person and their regular responsibilities. Knowing how difficult it can sometimes be to choose a puppy, we also understand the difficulties of finding the right breeder. This way, you can get to know us and how we care for our dogs and puppies on a daily basis. We also update our home page regularly with photos from dog shows, the nursing home visits, and more news!!

Dan and Deb Beer  -  Owners

Dan and Deb Beer began raising dogs in 1989, and have attained much knowledge through the years regarding all aspects of raising dogs and puppies. They love seeing our beautiful puppies go to great forever homes, and it is a wonderful blessing to have a part in making a child's dream of puppy ownership come true!! The joy on new puppy owner's faces when taking home their new addition is simply priceless!! Dan is a minister in their church, and also farms about 700 acres of corn and beans in the area. Both he and Deb have had the great opportunity, especially during the past year or two, to spend more time with their family which consists of four children and 12 grandchildren!! 

Amber Myers  -  Manager

Amber has been studying dogs since she was 7 years old and then began working at Teapup in November of 2002. She began work as a "puppy player", then her duties, along with her hours, increased over the months and years. It provided an awesome opportunity to put her book knowledge to work, and the learning and studying has never stopped! Amber is now manager, and handles phone calls, emails, visitors, dog and puppy care, website, etc. She even had the awesome opportunity of taking and handling three of our Shih Tzus at the Fort Wayne dog show, and led our male Ricter to his first point towards his championship!      

Martha Haab

Martha Haab has worked at Teapup since 2003, and comes in twice a week to work on vaccination records and worming and also provides the manager a break from most phone calls and visitors on the days she is here. Martha also sometimes delivers puppies for a fee, and that greatly helps those who live in the tri-state area and can't make the drive here. She is very dedicated, and truly enjoys working with the puppies! Martha is pretty fun-loving, and keeps the rest of the employees entertained when she is around!!

Hope Miller

Hope began working in 2006 as our dog and puppy photographer. Though she had no professional training in photography, through a little bit of guidance and a whole lot of hands-on experience, she has developed wonderful skills and is very patient with the dogs and puppies during their photo shoots!! Hope is also the one who takes puppies to the airport every other week when we ship puppies to their new homes. She has become very experienced in this area, and now knows her way around Chicago pretty well!

Blessing Longcor

Blessing has been working since 2003, and has since become one of our main groomers. After Amber developed grooming styles for the breeds, Blessing was taught exactly how to perfect the styles on the dogs. She does a fabulous job with the dogs!! Blessing also helps with puppy care when needed, and on the days we ship puppies, she helps prepare the carriers. Since she graduated high school in 2008, she has had the opportunity to work full time, which has been an awesome help to us!

Charlene Walker

Charlene has worked for us since 2007, and she is responsible for some cleaning and a lot of grooming. She does a great job with the grooming, and she truly loves the dogs and puppies! Charlene also helps with puppy care when necessary, and she is often the one to take puppies to the vet when they need vet checks and health certificates. She has been a wonderful help to us!

Lupe Fuentes

Lupe has been working since 2006, and she is the main person who comes every day to thoroughly clean each pen, and she also does laundry and washes the floor. She is fantastic!! We are so blessed to have such a dedicated person, and she works with a smile!! She does a wonderful job!

Angela Schmucker

Angela began working in September of 2007, and we have been very blessed to have such an easygoing, willing, and sweet person working here with us and the puppies! She has recently been trained to groom Maltese and Min.Schnauzers. With this help, we are now able to keep our dogs groomed every month.

Nancy Rodes

Nancy has worked at Teapup since August 2006, and she has recently been trained to groom Yorkies and Min.Schnauzers. With this being her main responsibility, we are able to keep them groomed every month. Nancy is great with the dogs and puppies, and we are very blessed to have her help us on a regular basis.

Andrew Geisel

Andrew began working in September of2007, and he has been a big help to us! On the days he is here, he is responsible for feeding, cleaning, and making sure light bulbs are working and lamps are clean. He also helps with some paperwork or computer work when necessary.

Amanda Yoder

Amanda has also worked since 2007 and on the days she works, she is in charge of keeping pens and beds clean, administering heartworm prevention every month, and she also does a lot of cleaning and some grooming. She does a great job, and we are very pleased to have her with us. 

Zach Nichols

Zach began working in July of 2009, and he has been a huge blessing! He does many different tasks, some of which include paperwork, computer work, cleaning, feeding, and making sure pens are neat and clean. He does an awesome job!

Crystal Elliott

Crystal started working in August of 2009, and her responsibilities are laundry detail, paperwork, cleaning, and bathing dogs and puppies when necessary. She is a cheerful worker, and is a great help to us.

Jaron Burkholder

Jaron began working in August of 2009, and his duties include cleaning and sterilizing toys, pens, and fans, and he does some outside work as well to make sure the yard and outside is kept neat and clean. He has been a big help to us!

Daniel Geisel

Daniel began working in September 2007, and he helps with duties such as cleaning, preparing pens for expectant mothers, washing windows, and trimming nails. He also will help with some computer work if needed. He is a great handyman!

Dr. Tom Smith

Dr. Tom Smith from Milford Animal Clinic has been our attending veterinarian for the past several years. He comes out to our kennel every two weeks with one of his vet techs (usually Vickie) to do routine exams on our puppies and adults. We are so very blessed and privileged to have such a great relationship with Dr. Smith and all of his staff!!

Below are all the other kids and adolescents that come in regularly to socialize our puppies, and they also occasionally help with cleaning, washing windows, etc. We are very blessed to have them come, and both the kids and the puppies thoroughly enjoy the time spent here!!
